How to Vote in the Upcoming Brockville Municipal Election 2022- TELEPHONE/ INTERNET METHOD ONLY
VOTING IN THE BROCKVILLE MUNICIPAL ELECTION – 2022
A Telephone/Internet Voting method is being used for the 2022 Municipal Elections. NOTE- This is the sole method of voting, no in-person voting will be held. The city will likely designate locations with computers available for any electors who do not have access to a home computer. Information on those locations will be provided closer to the election voting period.
Please continue reading for information on how to check if MPAC has your voter information in its database.
– Every eligible elector shall be limited to only one vote through the use of a PIN distributed by first class mail in a sealed and personalized Voter Information Letter. The letter will contain the elector’s PIN and the telephone number to call to cast their vote, as well as the designated Internet address (URL) to access to cast their vote during the Internet. The letter will also contain instructions on how to vote; date and hours of voting; and the location and telephone number of the Voter Help Centre.
– The Intelivote system will allow the eligible elector to vote using a telephone or Internet.
– Following the voter’s selection, the voting system response shall identify the voter’s choice and provide the voter with the option of changing or confirming their vote.
-There will be an option to abstain/skip from voting.
VOTER’S LIST and IDENTIFICATION
– Your name must be on the voters’ list in order for you to cast a ballot.
– The voters’ list for each municipal election is prepared from data kept by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).

You can also call MPAC at 1-866-296-6722
Please note:
The voter’s list becomes official on September 1.
After September 1, you must apply to your municipal clerk if you want to add your name to the list or correct you information.
You have to the close of voting on October 24 to apply for any changes. If you want to change your school support, you must contact MPAC.
If you are applying to add your name to the voter’s list, you will be asked to provide proof that you are eligible to vote.
