Membership in Action
The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer based organization in which members sit on various committees to explore and address issues of importance to the local business community. A large portion of the work is performed by the committee members and the Chamber staff assists in facilitating and carrying out the plans. Ad Hoc committees are formed as needed and there are 9 standing committees that meet on a regular basis. They are as follows:

This Committee will consist of the President, Past President, Vice President, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary. This Committee is responsible for addressing administrative and budgetary emergencies, appointing members to standing and special committees and assessing annual achievements.

Finance Committee
This Committee will address financial issues including but not limited to budgeting, financial reporting, purchasing policy, membership fee review and premises.

Advocacy & Economic Development Committee
This Committee will monitor and positively influence municipal affairs including taxation, government spending and regulations, as well as, any matter relating to business retention and expansion.

Ambassadors
The primary role of the Ambassador is to welcome and orientate new members, engage current members and facilitate member to member networking and business. The information gathered by these individuals will open additional channels of communication between the Chamber executives and the membership. This program will assist in retention of new and existing members through personal contact and the ability to provide input on Chamber programs.
