It’s back!

Launched by the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce during the peak of the pandemic, and now in its fourth year, this program rewards you for shopping at local businesses during the holiday season and with weekly chances to win prizes. The more stores you support, the more chances you have to win!

How does it work?

The program is simple:

  1. Shop at local businesses
  2. Collect 3 receipts
  3. Turn your receipts in at the Chamber office (or any of our program partners: Downtown Brockville, Brockville Tourism, or City Hall) or in the 24/7 dropbox located outside. Or submit your receipt information from home using our online submission tool.
  4. You could win one of our weekly prize draws for a $25 Downtown Brockville gift card and River of Lights toque

Collect your receipts from purchases made anywhere in Brockville (or from participating Chamber members who are outside of Brockville). Receipts can be for retail, restaurant, experiences, and paid accommodations during the program period (November 16-January 6). Ineligible purchases include essentials (grocery, gas, pharmacy), liquor/beer/wine, tobacco, cannabis, vape, lottery tickets, and any purchases made outside of the program window.

Keep shopping all December – starting on November 16th with the “Miracle on King Street” event in Downtown Brockville and ending on January 6th with the final night of the River of Lights!

3 receipts = 1 ballot towards weekly prizes, PLUS entries that total over $250 worth of receipts will also be entered into a VIP grand prize draw for $250 in Downtown Brockville gift cards to spend how you wish in the new year. Earn bonus entries into the weekly prize draw with our restaurant and café partners: ask for a River of Lights coffee sleeve or coaster from participating restaurants.

Pick up your receipt envelope in store (while supplies last) or from any of the following locations: Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce (3 Market Street West, Suite 1), Brockville Tourism (16 Market Street East), Downtown Brockville (3 Market Street West, Suite 2), and Brockville City Hall (1 King Street West). Any envelope will do, you don’t have to have a branded envelope to participate. Be sure to include your name and contact information!

Turn in your envelope filled with at least 3 receipts (photocopies accepted). The drop-off box for completed envelopes will be available 24/7 just outside of the Chamber office at 3 Market Street West (find the drop box on the side entrance by the stairs).

You can also enter your receipt info from home using our online submission tool. If you submit online, make sure you hang onto your receipts: If your name is drawn you will need to show us your receipts as proof of purchase to collect your prize.

River of Lights Tie-in

How does the River of Lights factor in? 

Enjoy a beverage from one of our restaurant and café partners to earn an extra entry into the weekly “Shop Where Your Heart Is” prize draw. 

Participating restaurants will have a River of Lights branded coffee sleeve for hot beverages ordered to-go, and paper coasters for enjoying beverages on site. The sleeves and the coasters act as extra ballots towards the weekly Shop Where Your Heart Is prize draws – fill out your contact information and drop off your entry at the chamber of Commerce office on your way to the River of Lights.

The River of Lights is a free light show set to music on Blockhouse Island that runs every night from November 30th to January 6th starting at 6pm.

Program Terms and Conditions:

  • Purchases can be made at any Brockville business (or participating Chamber members who are outside of Brockville).
  • Purchase date on all receipts must be between November 16, 2024 and January 6, 2025.
  • You must submit a minimum of 3 receipts for each entry.
  • Coffee sleeves and coasters each count as an extra bonus ballot and will be included in the upcoming weekly prize draw.
  • Ineligible Items include: “essential” purchases (gas, groceries, pharmacy), liquor, beer, wine, tobacco, vape, and cannabis products, lottery tickets, taxes, and gratuities.
  • If you submit your entries online, you must keep your receipts to show proof of purchase in the event that your name is drawn as a prize winner. 
  • If your name is drawn, you must claim your prize 3 weeks following the draw date or another name may be drawn.
  • Submitting ineligible entries could make you ineligible for future draws. Continuing to submit ineligible entries after a warning will make you ineligible for all future draws.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit each week.
  • No minimum purchase amount for the weekly draws.
  • Entries for the weekly prize will be included in the next upcoming draw after the entry is received.
  • All entries received that are eligible for the VIP grand prize draw will be included in both the weekly draw for the period in which they are received, and in the final VIP draw.
  • VIP entry eligibility: total entry value must exceed $250 over three eligible receipts, not including ineligible purchases, taxes, or gratuities.
    • Three receipts are still required for your entry, regardless of individual receipt value. While we appreciate that you have made a large purchase, this program is all about consistently supporting local businesses, so we want to see you share the love at other businesses too!
  • Copies of receipts are permitted if you would like to keep your original, however duplicate entries are not. Please ensure that you only submit each purchase one time.
  • Store receipt and credit card slips from the same purchase count as 1 purchase towards the required 3 purchases. To help us out: please only include the store receipt, and not both. This helps us streamline our processes and tally up the total value of your entry.

Local Participating Shops and Restaurants will be handing out envelopes, coffee sleeves, and coasters all throughout the months of November and December!
