Membership in Action
The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer-based organization where members sit on various committees to explore and address issues important to the local business community. A large portion of the work is performed by committee members, with the Chamber staff assisting in facilitating and carrying out the plans. Ad hoc committees are formed as needed, and there are eight standing committees that meet regularly. They are as follows:
Executive Committee
This Committee consists of the President, Past President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Corporate Secretary. This Committee is responsible for addressing administrative and budgetary emergencies, appointing members to standing and special committees, and assessing annual achievements.

Finance Committee
This Committee addresses financial issues including but not limited to budgeting, financial reporting, purchasing policy, membership fee review, and premises.

Advocacy & Economic Development Committee
This Committee monitors and positively influences municipal affairs including taxation, government spending, and regulations, as well as matters related to business retention and expansion.

Programming Committee
This Committee reviews, monitors, and recommends Chamber revenue-producing projects and initiatives. This Committee has sub-committees for special events, such as the Awards Gala and Golf Tournament.
