Shop Where Your Heart Is

It’s back!

Now in its fifth year, this program rewards you for shopping at local businesses during the holiday season and with weekly chances to win prizes. The more stores, restaurants, and attractions you support, the more chances you have to win!

We have made some changes to how to the program works this year, giving you challenges to complete to earn ballots towards our weekly prize draws and our even our grand prize draw.

This year’s program will run from November 15 to January 4.

How does it work?

The program is simple:

Shop at local Brockville stores and complete activities

Complete any 3 items from List A, OR
Complete any 2 items from List B, OR
Complete 1 item from List C (items from List C also qualifies you for our grand prize draw)

Collect your receipts and photos. Collect your receipts from purchases made in Brockville all December long – starting on November 15^th with Downtown Brockville’s Miracle on King Street event, and ending on January 4^th on the final night of the River of Lights.
Turn in your receipts and photos. After completing your selected activities, turn in your activity sheet (please tick which items you have completed) along with any necessary proof of purchase (receipt) or photo evidence of you completing your activities.

Submissions can be dropped off at the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce at 3 Market Street West. Make sure to include your name and contact information! An after hours drop box is available outside the office so you can drop off your entries any time, or see the “submission” section below for a list of other drop off locations.
You can also enter your receipt information and photos online using our submission tool (save your receipts in case your name is drawn)

List A: complete any 3 of the following activities to enter our weekly prize draw:

Visit the River of Lights and listen for this week’s codeword: ________________
Go for a coffee with a friend – include your receipt!
Post a photo/video on social media of your local purchases and tag Shop Where Your Heart Is- Brockville. (include your social media handle or name here so we can find your post and give you credit)
Visit the Brockville Farmers’ Christmas Market at the Aquatarium (have a vendor initial here __________________)
Take a ride on the AQ Holiday Express (share your photos with us)
Snap a Selfie with a Holiday Window Display (take a festive selfie in front of a decorated window of a local business)
Put a “Shop Where Your Heart Is” sticker on something you own (water bottle, laptop, you name it), and share a photo with us

List B: complete any 2 activities from this list to enter our weekly prize draw:

Post a photo of yourself shopping in a local store
Treat a friend or family member to dinner at a local restaurant
Attend any paid event in Brockville during the program period (example: Christmas Candlelit Tours at Fulford Place Museum)
Purchase admission to any local attraction
Buy a Gift Card from a Local Business: Great way to support now and shop later (or gift to someone else).
Spend over $100 at one local store
Bring a New-to-You Shopper Downtown: Encourage someone who doesn’t usually shop local or is from another city to come with you. (Submit a photo together or their name).

List C: complete any item from this list to be entered into the weekly prize draw PLUS our grand prize draw:

Shop at one store from each Downtown District (not sure where the districts are? Check out this map)
Spend over $250 shopping at local stores (total receipt value.)
12 Days of Local Shopping Challenge: Shop at 12 different local stores throughout the season. (no min spend required. Submit a photo collage or list of store names + receipts)
One-Stop Shop Challenge: Complete your entire holiday gift list from local stores (Photo of shopping haul + a list of who each gift is for)

Receipt Submission

Collect receipts from purchases made anywhere in Brockville or from participating Chamber members outside Brockville. Eligible purchases include retail, restaurants, experiences, and paid accommodations during the program period (November 15 – January 4).

Ineligible purchases: essentials (grocery, gas, pharmacy), LCBO/Beer Store, tobacco, vape, cannabis, lottery tickets. Taxes and gratuities do not count toward total receipt value.

Pick up your receipt envelope and checklist in store (while supplies last) or from any of the following locations:

Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce (3 Market Street West, Suite 1),
Brockville Tourism (16 Market Street East),
Downtown Brockville (3 Market Street West, Suite 2), and
Brockville City Hall (1 King Street West)

Downtown District lead shops:

Market District: River West Co., 80 King St
Garden District: Sweet Ofelia Cafe & Market, 52 King St
Arts District: Wild Little Roses, 232 King St West

Any envelope will do, you don’t have to have a branded envelope to participate. Be sure to include your name and contact information!

How to submit receipts:

Keep receipts: if your name is drawn, you must show proof of purchase to claim your prize.

Drop off your checklist and receipts at the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce (3 Market Street West) — 24-hour drop box available.

Photocopies are accepted if you wish to keep your originals.

You can also enter your receipt info from home using our online submission tool. If you submit online, make sure you hang onto your receipts: If your name is drawn you will need to show us your receipts as proof of purchase to collect your prize.

Photo Submission

For activities requiring photos, you can:

Post on social media with @ShopWhereYourHeartIs (Facebook or Instagram) where indicated.
Upload photos using the online submission tool.
Email photos to info@brockvillechamber.com.

Prize draws occur weekly, so keep shopping and completing activities for more chances to win!

Program Terms and Conditions:

Purchases can be made at any Brockville business (or participating Chamber members who are outside of Brockville).
Purchase date on all receipts must be between November 15, 2025 and January 4, 2026.
Ineligible Items include: “essential” purchases (gas, groceries, pharmacy), liquor, beer, wine, tobacco, vape, and cannabis products, lottery tickets, taxes, and gratuities.
If you submit your entries online, you must keep your receipts to show proof of purchase in the event that your name is drawn as a prize winner.
If your name is drawn, you must claim your prize 3 weeks following the draw date or another name may be drawn.
Submitting ineligible entries could make you ineligible for future draws. Continuing to submit ineligible entries after a warning will make you ineligible for all future draws.
There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit each week.
No minimum purchase amount for the weekly draws.
Activities that require a photo submission, you must submit your photos to our team in order to receive credit for completing that activity.
You may only take the “Shop Where Your Heart Is Pledge” one time.
Entries for the weekly prize will be included in the next upcoming draw after the entry is received.
All entries received that are eligible for the VIP grand prize draw will be included in both the weekly draw for the period in which they are received, and in the final VIP draw.
VIP draw eligibility: complete any item from List C to enter both the weekly draw and our final grand prize draw.
Copies of receipts are permitted if you would like to keep your original, however duplicate entries are not. Please ensure that you only submit each purchase one time.
Store receipt and credit card slips from the same purchase count as 1 purchase. To help us out: please only include the store receipt, and not both. This helps us streamline our processes and tally up the total value of your entry.
