Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce 2024 President’s Award Recipient

The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of the businesses, organizations and individuals who make a difference in our community.
The President of the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce, Steven Latimer, is proud to announce the recipient of this year’s Presidents Award, Bruce Wylie.
The President’s Award introduced in 2009 is an optional award that can be handed out at the discretion of the current Chamber President each year. Bruce Wylie is the ninth recipient of this award.
Bruce has been a part of our community and lives for over half a century. Starting with CFJR in 1971, Bruce has been our voice of Brockville that most of us have grown up with. As the times have changed, Bruce is the one constant that we can all rely on and brings our community together in the best of times and worst.
His commitment to community is seen everywhere we turn. From the beginning with the Bruce Wylie Golf tournament to Riverfest, Sports Hall of Fame, Music and Arts Hall of Fame and the Palliative Care Telethon, Bruce has always had his mind on volunteering and recognizing people and organizations of our community. Bruce Wylie was the Citizen of the Year for the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce in 1989.
We look forward to recognizing Bruce Wylie, at the 65th Awards of Excellence Gala being held on Thursday, September 19 at the Brockville Country Club where we will also be announcing the recipients for: Business of The Year, Small Business of the Year, Community Excellence Award, the Tourism Award and the Ben TeKamp Award.
