Regional Tariff Response Initiative in Southern Ontario
We are pleased to introduce the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI), a funding program aimed at supporting businesses in southern Ontario impacted by tariffs and trade disruptions.
This initiative provides financial assistance to help businesses strengthen their operations, enhance competitiveness, and build resilience in response to ongoing trade challenges.
Key Program Highlights:
- Who Can Apply: For-profit businesses with 5-500 full-time employees in southern Ontario, operating for at least 3 years.
- Funding Options:
- Fully repayable contributions of $125,000 to $10 million.
- Non-repayable contributions under $100,000 (or up to $1 million for steel and automotive industries).
- Eligible Activities:
- Digitizing and automating processes.
- Expanding into new markets.
- Strengthening supply chains.
- Reshoring production and more.
- Project Timeline: Projects must begin after March 21, 2025, and be completed by March 31, 2028.
