Rural Ontario Development Fund Opens

Get funding to help create strong businesses, boost economic growth, protect jobs and improve infrastructure in small communities. The Rural Ontario Development (ROD) Program replaces the Rural Economic Development (RED) Program and offers $20 million in funding over 2 years. Small brick and mortar businesses in rural Ontario with 1 to 20 employees can apply through the business development stream. This stream offers up to 35% cost-share, to a maximum of $10,000.
Steps to apply Read the business development stream guidelines to learn about eligibility, funding streams, cost-share amounts and application requirements. Submit your completed application by email to RODprogram@ontario.ca on or before the intake deadline.   Register for one of the information sessions: January 22, 9:30-10:30 a.m.February 12, 9:30-10:30 a.m.   After the intake period closes, the Ministry will: Assess eligible applications based on the criteria in the guidelines.Notify applicants about funding decisions, usually within 3 months of the intake deadline (timing may vary).   For full program details, call 1-877-424-1300, email RODprogram@ontario.ca or visit the website.   Application Deadline: February 26, 5 p.m.   Visit website
